This week, Verizon Wireless and Pantech unveiled the Pantech UML290 4G USB modem. Customers can get their hands on the modem as of sunday, Dec. 5 online at www.verizonwireless.com or visit the nearest Verizon Wireless Communications Stores.
The Pantech UML290 modem will provide Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network (also supports Verizon’s 3G network) with download speeds of up to 12Mbps, and upload speeds of up to 5Mbps. Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE itself will be launched on the same date (Dec. 5) in 38 major metropolitan areas, covering over one-third of all Americans – 110 million people and in over than 60 commercial airports.
Just like LG’s modem, the UML290 4G modem also costs $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and new 2 years contract, there is also a 4G Mobile Broadband Plan are needed.
