After several months of testing stage, Twitter for Blackberry is now available as final and stable version and could be downloaded from Blackberry App World. RIM stated that one of the reasons it took so long to launch the final version was to receive full feedback from its users regarding the various phases of development.
Twitter for BlackBerry app offers a lot of features to users. It allows users to stay connected to a number of instant messaging client accounts at the same time. It also has features to keep users connected with their buddies such as Timeline Support, reply to Tweets, re-Tweet, send Direct Messages, following and much more. User will also be able to post/tweet photos, links, search for content using a wide variety of criteria and much more.
If you’re interested and want to install the highly-acclaimed Twitter client on your Blackberry, you have to meet the requirements first. Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones requires:
* 64 MB BlackBerry smartphone
* 1100 KB of available BlackBerry smartphone memory
* BlackBerry® Device Software Version 4.5 or later
You have been able to get the app since last night, when it was released last night. There are two options to get the new Twitter app installed on your device, from Blackberry’s App World store or via your device browser. In case you prefer to go for your device, you could visit www.blackberry.com/twitterdownload or simply complete in on RIM’s website an email address associated with your device and a download link would be sent to you as soon as possible.
