Toshiba Corp. today unleashed the Blade X-gale line of solid state drives (SSDs) which actually already made their debut along with Apple’s new MacBook Air ultra-thin laptops. The new solid state drives are 42% thinner compared to that typical mSATA form factor solutions and are designed for mobile devices usages.
The Blade X-gale drives feature a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, a MTTF of 1 million hours, read speed of up to 220 MB/s and write speeds of up to 180 MB/s. The new Toshiba SSDs are available in three models include the 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models.
