Seagate is going to show Mac users some love at 2011 CES events with the GoFlex for Mac external hard drive family. GoFlex for Mac external hard drive includes 2.5-inch as well as 3.5-inch solutions that are HFS+ formatted (which is compatible with Apple’s Time Machine) and come with both USB 2.0 as well as FireWire 800 adapters and cables.
Seagate’s Mac-friendly drives are available in following models:
– 2.5-inch GoFlex for Mac ultra-portable drive coming in 1TB ($200) and 1.5TB ($250) capacities
– 2.5-inch GoFlex for Mac Limited Edition ultra-portable drive – 12.5mm thick, 1TB, $200
– 2.5-inch GoFlex Pro for Mac ultra portable available in 500GB ($150) and 750GB ($180) versions
– 3.5-inch GoFlex Desk for Mac drive – can be plated either vertically or horizontally, comes in 2TB ($220) and 3TB ($280) flavors.
These external hard drives are backed by a 3-year warranty.
