Samsung NX100 mirrorless camera Goes Official

The upcoming Samsung NX100 mirrorless camera was spotted last month, and now Samsung has finally made NX100 mirrorless camera official.

Samsung’s new NX100 is essentially a cut-down version of the mirrorless NX10,with a flat and ‘compact camera style’ design.

Just like its older counterpart, the new NX100 has 14.6-MP APS-C size CMOS sensor and 3.0″ VGA AMOLED display. Other specifications include a max ISO sensitivity of 6400, 720p HD video recording in H.264, an SD/SDHC memory card slot (up to 32GB), geo-tagging with GPS module (optional), electronic viewfinder (optional) and i-Function feature.

One of the most exciting features of the new NX100 will be the i-Function feature, which is an exciting way to control the camera functions directly from the camera lens, allowing photographers to adjust common settings such as shutter speed, aperture, white balance, exposure, and ISO sensitivity by using dedicated “i-Function” button and a focus ring around the lens.

In order to complement this i-Function feature, Samsung has also launched two lenses with i-Fn buttons – the 20-50mm f3.5-5.6 lens and 20mm f2.8 lens.

The new Samsung NX100 will be available in 3 colors, include black, white, and brown. However pricing details and a release date are yet to be announced.
