Samsung Galaxy S, the new Android-based mobile phone, was reported a while ago to be on the way to some major carriers in the U.S, and the recent announcements from Samsung and carriers in the U.S prove exactly that. According to Samsung, Verizon Wireless’ customers will be able to buy the new handset as the Samsung Fascinate. More details on availability and pricing will be revealed soon.
Based on Google’s Android 2.1 operating system, the Fascinate seems to be one of the most anticipated phones the company brought to the mobile market. Offering a 4″ Super AMOLED touchscreen display and a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor, the new Galaxy S should be able to give an advanced experience to its users. The Samsung Fascinate, offers the specs you likely already know, includes a LED flash with the 5Mpix camera just like the Samsung Epic 4G.
Multimedia, entertainment, messaging or even social networking, the new handset has them all along with support for Google Mobile Services, like Gmail, YouTube, and many more.
Aside from that, the new Samsung Galaxy S will be available on Verizon’ shelves with a range of extra features, applications as well as services from the carrier, among them are: V CAST Video on Demand, Visual Voice Mail, V CAST Music with Rhapsody, VZ Navigator and so on. Social networking integration will also be included to the package. The Fascinate has also Samsung’s Social Hub, an AllShare App to share multimedia content to another devices, and so on.
