PlayStation Move – Sony’s Answer to Wii Remote and Project Natal Come This Autumn

ps move

PlayStation owners, be glad! In the near future you’ll never hearing “when are you getting a Wii?” from your buddies and family. It’s glad to know that Sony has just announced its answer to Nintendo’s Wii Remote and Microsoft’s Project Natal for Xbox 360 at the Game Developers Conference. The PlayStation Move was initially announced at the E3 interactive entertainment conference last year (in fanfare), still it was not named. Nowadays, it’s a real product that would be sold as a package (PS Move, game, as well as EyeToy webcam ) for $100.

PS Move is hoped to launch in Fall of this year, right after Microsoft’s Project Natal peripheral for the Xbox 360. Move and project natal will use cams to track motions, still the likeness end there. PlayStation Move rather uses a “spherical light” which is tracked via the camera all at once with internal sensors. Whereas Natal uses 3D camera technology to track the whole of the player’s body without a controller.

The pitch: It’s much more accurate compared to Nintendo’s Wii remote, thus it will appeal to hardcore addicts who play difficult games, not only casual gamers who enjoy party games.

According to mashable, PS Move will be supported by several new and old games.

Move will be supported by new games Ape Escape, Echochrome 2, and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, plus old games LittleBigPlanet, Flower, and Resident Evil 5. Others are planned too, including several made specifically for the controller: boxing game Dukes, family party game Move Party, high-def sports suite Sports Champions, Kung Fu game Slider, and shooter The Shoot.

That’s cool man, is it??
