Norwegian-based company, Opera Software today released the beta version of its Opera Mini 5.1 browser for Symbian platform. Opera Software which was earlier launched for feature phones and Android devices, comes with significantly faster star-up times, improved page-load and scrolling performance, and improved fonts.
For newer phones (such as the Nokia N series), Opera Mini 5.1 features a new support like device integration for copy & paste, an email client support, and the capability to select the default access point.
Christen Krogh, Chief Development Officer, Opera Software said :
“It is Opera’s objective to provide its users with the best possible web-surfing experience on any device, Porting Opera Mini to the Symbian programming language provides the largest user base in the smartphone world with the best mobile browsing experience.”
