[CES 2011] Motorola’s first tablet is finally official. Motorola’s first tablet a.k.a Motorola XOOM is planned to come later this quarter with Google’s Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) as the operating system of choice. Motorola XOOM (not the Droid moniker though) will be coming to the US via Verizon.
Motorola XOOM will come equipped with a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 resolution touchscreen display, a Tegra 2 (dual-core) SoC, a 32GB of built-in storage, a rear-facing 5 MP camera with 720p video recording capability, a front camera for video chat, a gyroscope, an accelerometer, 802.11n WiFi, Blueeooth 2.1 and 3G connectivity.
Motorola XOOM tablet will launch with 3G but is expected to get a 4G LTE upgrade in the next quarter.
