LG Electronics along with carrier SK Telecom will tomorrow be launching in South Korea the ‘first dual-core smartphone’, LG Optimus 2X which is powered by Android 2.2 (will get an update to 2.3, eventually) and costs around $240 with a two-year contract.
LG’s dual-core smartphone’, LG Optimus 2X comes with a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display , 8GB of built-in storage, a microSD slot, a rear-facing 8 MP camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing one, an accelerometer, DLNA support, 1080p video playback support via an HDMI output jac, a micro USB port, as well as a 1500 mAh battery.
Tomorrow LG will only release black version of Optimus 2X but a white version is also in plan and will come in February.
