HP just unveiled a number of webOS-based products, hp touchpad webOS tablet and a couple of webOS smartphones, the HP Veer and HP Pre 3. Well, it has been so long since HP bought Palm for $1.2 billion and we’re finally getting the fruit coming out as a result of the $1.2 billion acquisition.
Let’s start with HP Pre 3, HP Pre 3 is expected to be the Pre 2’s successor. Palm Pre 3 was designed to be dual mode phone, which meansit supports for both GSM/HSPA+ and CDMA radios.
You can expect to get a 3.6-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display (480×800 pixels of resolution), slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a couple camera ( 5 MP rear facing camera with autofocus and a LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing one with video calling ability).
Under the hood, you can expect to get 1.4Ghz Snapdragon 8×55 processor plus 512MB of RAM, while for storage, you can choose between 8GB and 16GB storage options. If that was enough, you can still use a microSD card slot. In terms of connectivity, The Pre 3 offers integrated a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, a built-in A-GPS module, an accelerometer as well as Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR connectivity.
