Hitachi Global Storage Technologies or best known as Hitachi has just came out with a couple harddisk, the Deskstar 7K3000 hard drives 7200 RPM and the Deskstar 5K3000. Both hard drive have yet to be unveiled, but can be found on the Hitachi’s website.
The new Hitachi’s products, Deskstar 7K3000 comes in 1.5TB, 2TB and 3TB flavors, works at 7200 RPM, and comes equipped with a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, 64MB of buffer memory, as well as idle/load sound outputs of up to 2.9/6.8 Bels.
Next up, the counterpart, the Deskstar 5K3000 HDD comes in 1TB, 2TB and 3TB flavors and comes equipped with a SATA 6.0 Gbps connectivity, buffer memory of 32MB, a Coolspin technology which means its platters spin down to 5k levels (around 5400 – 5900 maybe) to decrease noise and power consumption.
