The Fedora 14 Beta is finally released, this is the first and the only beta of the forthcoming Fedora 14. The Fedora 14 Beta is essentially feature-complete and all the updates is now focusing on bug fixing as well as stability. However, Fedora 14 comes with a wee bit shorter new features list than the earlier releases.
In addition to updated packages, such as KDE SC 4.5 and GNOME 2.32, Fedora 14 also offers few new features for developers. Developers will be glad with new and updated programming languages, simpler and faster debugging, better developer tools and etc, include NetBeans 6.9, JavaFX SDK 1.3 and a new JavaFX Composer, Support for Ruby on Rails 3.0, Eclipse Helios and etc.
There are also a number of features and development tools geared towards end users, for example is the libjpeg-turbo library which claimed to cut down the loading times of JPEG files up to 50 %, Spice, X Windows and Windows XP/Vista/7 drivers and many more. All in all, the new release of Fedora 14 beta will be a favorite with both developers and end users.
The first Fedora 14 beta is now live to download and can be downloaded at http://fedoraproject.org/get-prerelease. While the final and stable version of Fedora 14 is expected to live on 2nd November 2010.
