Well, after managed to acquire Orkut in India, now Facebook has reached another milestone by opening its new office at Hyderabad, India.
Hyderabad headquarter will be Facebook’s tenth international office. Facebook has revealed earlier this year that it will open office in Hyderabad, India.
The city is already known as home for a number of major technology companies including Google, IBM, Microsoft, Dell, Oracle and many others.
Headed by Kirthiga Reddy as well as Manoj Varghese, the Indian Facebook team will include more sales, operations as well as multi-lingual support staff in order offer 24-hour international support.

The new offices come at a significant time in our international growth. Seventy percent of the people using Facebook are outside the U.S. and are accessing the service from more than 70 languages. In India alone, we’ve seen rapid growth and now have more than 8 million people there actively connecting on Facebook with their friends, family, and other people they know, both within India and around the globe.
Facebook has held an official ceremony in order to welcome the staff coming from the stateside to work at the new offices. But, Facebook says, The “official” Facebook Hyderabad launch date would be in September.
