CDMA iPhone 4 Gets N92 codename, nears production

CDMA iPhone 4

Rumors of Apple’s CDMA iPhone has been going around for a long while, but now it seems that the rumors have obtained a little more credibility.

Following new reports that Apple had put a big order of CDMA chipsets from Qualcomm, word is going out that the device is now having a codename, the CDMA-capable device is known internally as N92.

The device is now already at the Engineer Validation Test (EVT) phase and just one step before the Design Validation Test (DVT) phase.

The long rumored CDMA-capable iPhone 4 is scheduled to be hitting U.S market in January 2011, through Verizon.

Please don’t get your hope up too high, until Apple or Verizon determines to come out and announce the whole deal, it’s going to be a rumor. That being said, perhaps history will repeat itself and a forthcoming iPhone would be lost or found again.

Please stay tuned for more information regarding CDMA-capable iPhone 4.
